Interflon manufactures high performance lubricants, cleaners and hardware. Our products reduce maintenance cost, power consumption and CO² emissions whilst promoting component reliability and factory output. In our work we are eligible with personal data, which we treat with great care.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the legislation in the field of privacy and the protection of personal data. The GDPR describes how organizations must deal with the personal data of customers and employees.
1. Objective and responsible authority
a) In this statement we describe how we deal with personal data and its protection, and what is and is not justified by law. To process our work quickly and efficiently and to optimize our services to you, we process personal data. Guaranteeing the safety and privacy of your personal data is not only in your interest but also in our interest. We follow the relevant laws and regulations that set requirements for the use of privacy-sensitive information.
2. Basic information regarding data processing
a) We are responsible for the personal data and data exchange in all areas where we are active. We are required to handle the collection, storage and management of personal data of citizens with care, security, proportionality and confidentiality.
b) We use adequate technical and management procedures to keep the information accurate, current and complete. Requests from customers for adjusting or deleting personal information are processed as quickly as possible. When you indicate that certain information may not be used as a basis for further contact, we respect that. This way your privacy remains guaranteed.
3. Processing of personal data
a) When using our services, you provide certain information. This can be personal data. For every form of personal data that you provide to us - for example when requesting a product or for further correspondence - we guarantee that this data will be treated confidentially by us. We process personal data for the following purposes:
i) The execution of our services and activities.
You can think of your name, address, gender, e-mail address and telephone number but also information about your work history. If you apply with us, we will keep your resume and motivation until after the application process. This does not take longer than the permitted period - unless other agreements have been made with you about this.
If you join us, we will also process your date of birth, gender, address details, social security number and a copy of your proof of identity.
ii) Ensuring fast and efficient customer service. When you contact us, these personal data will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and any follow-up questions.
iii) Sending a newsletter or any other form of promotional material, if you have given us permission. As part of this permission, we store the registration, confirmation time and IP address of the user.
4. Processing principles
The personal data mentioned above is processed on the basis of the agreement that we have with you, due to a legal obligation, on the basis of a legitimate interest or when you give us permission for this.
5. Retention period
We use your personal data no longer than it is necessary to achieve the goal. The retention of personal data is done on the basis of the periods set by the legislator. We have mapped out the legal retention periods and processed them in the data processing register. Where the law has not set any retention periods, we will keep the personal data for as long as it is necessary to be able to guarantee the proper performance of tax duties or to be able to comply with legal obligations.
6. Sharing with third parties
In the case of cooperation with external parties, where the third party has access to personal data that is managed by us or where personal data is exchanged, we make agreements about how to handle this personal data. These agreements meet the legal requirements. In addition, we have laid down agreements regarding the processing and handling of personal data in processing agreements so that third parties who process personal data on our behalf (ie our processors) can offer the same level of protection that we also offer.
7. Security
a) We treat personal data with care and treat it confidentially. We take appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access and other unwanted actions with personal data. For example, personal data is only processed by persons with an obligation of confidentiality and for the purpose for which this data was collected. We also protect all personal data. This must prevent the personal data from being viewed or changed by someone who is not entitled to it.
b) To guarantee the reliability, integrity and safety of the personal data, we have taken appropriate measures and we monitor the adequate implementation of these measures. We ensure that the personal data is correct and complete before it is processed.
8. Your rights
a) We honor all rights that data subjects have on the basis of privacy legislation. These are the so-called rights of those involved, which are explained below. We have developed internal procedures for this and deployed within the organization. As a result, requests from the parties involved that deal with the rights they are entitled to will be dealt with uniformly within the organization.

b) You are also entitled to oblivion and data portability, insofar as it does not conflict with statutory obligations and the statutory retention period. In addition, in limited cases you have the right to have the processing of your personal data temporarily limited and you have the right to a human look at the decisions made by us. No fully automated decisions will be taken.

d) Interflon values your data and does not allow you to view personal data of other people.
9. Cookies
a) We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a simple small file with information about your visit that is sent along with the pages of our website. These cookies are stored on your hard drive. We use these cookies to ensure that our website functions correctly.
b) Cookies from Google are also placed on our website as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to keep track of and get reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence on this. The information that Google collects is made anonymous as much as possible. Your IP address is explicitly not given. The information is transferred to Google and stored on servers in the United States.
c) Viewing our website is also possible with the exception of cookies. If users do not want cookies to be stored on their computers, they are asked to disable the option in their browser's system settings. Stored cookies can be deleted in the system settings of the browser. The exclusion of cookies can lead to functional limitations of our offer.
10. Changes to the privacy statement
• a) We reserve the right to change the privacy statement if required by law and regulation.
• b) Because of the above, you are requested to read the privacy statement regularly so that you are kept informed of the current content.
